Dr Yin Xi Jiang, Council Member of Singapore Surface Engineering Association and Centre Director of Singapore Polytechnic (SP) Advanced Materials Technology Centre (AMTC), and Dr Jiang Jianping, General Manager (GM) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Stella Specialty Chemical (S) Pte Ltd, visited China Surface Engineering Association (CSEA) Secretariat for a discussion on cooperation matters with the committee members of the 19th Interfinish World Congress (Interfinish 2016).

The organizing committee has recently received a reply from Singapore Surface Engineering Association President Mr Kam C P, on the confirmation of the association’s involvement as a co-organizer of Interfinish 2016, to support the works of the Organization General Assembly. 

Mr Ma Jie, Chairman of 19th Interfinish World Congress and General Secretary of CSEA, Wuhan University Professor Lin An, Vice President of CSEA, and Beihang University (previously known as Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) Professor Hu Ru Nan, 19th Interfinish World Congress Consultant, have introduced to Dr Yin Xi Jiang and Dr Jiang Jianping on the preparations for the conference. The highlights on the technical supply and demand, recruitment, conference reception, etc of the General Assembly were affirmed during the meeting. The organizing committee has also expressed their hope for advice and support in all aspects from the Singapore’s Association and both Dr in running the conference.

As mentioned by Dr. Yin Xi Jiang, China is currently the largest market for surface treatment, hence Interfinish will be a successful event when held there. Dr Jiang JianPing also added on that he hopes to contribute actively through giving speeches and networking. They have also proposed paper publications programs, and have provided organizational support as well.

Singapore Surface Engineering Association representatives visited China Surface Engineering Association to discuss on cooperation for Interfinish 2016

Stella was awarded Proof-of-Value (POV) grant under SPRING Singapore’s Technology Enterprise Commercialisation Scheme (TECS), which aims to bring potentially disruptive technology closer to the market.

Dr Yin Xi Jiang’s paper (as a co-author) published in May 2014 was one of the top 5 most downloaded article in 2014. The paper, titled “Organic dyes incorporating a thiophene or furan moiety for efficient dye-sensitized solar cells” attracted great interest in the scientific community.
